8 small bananas, peeled
8ounces dark chocolate
Toppings: Sprinkles, coconut, salted nuts, pretzels, mini marshmallows, chopped fruit, sea salt, caramel, melted peanut butter, etc.
Instructions
Skewer the bananas using a wooden kebab skewer, leaving enough sticking out to use as a handle.
Place a large piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Place the dark chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until melted.
Dip the bananas into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to evenly coat the bananas. Place the banana on parchment paper.
Immediately sprinkle the banana with the toppings of your choice.
Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate is set.
Notes
Storage Tip: Once the chocolate is hard, transfer the bananas to an airtight container. Store in the freezer. For optimal flavor, serve bananas within 2 weeks.
